1) What paperwork is required in order to obtain investigative services?
We require a basic investigative Contract to be filled out along with a Client
Interview Form and returned with your retainer. These forms can be downloaded by clicking on the Our Forms button near
the top of this website.
2) What is a retainer?
A retainer is a pre-determined amount of money placed with our firm for investigative services. Our firm pays it's
investigators their hourly fees and expenses related to your investigation from this retainer.
3) Are Private Investigators required to be licensed in North Carolina?
YES. If someone offers to provide you or provides you with investigative services without being licensed in North Carolina
it is a criminal offense. Each investigator licensed in North Carolina is issued credentials that shows their photo, name
and license number, ask to see his or her credentials before hiring them.
4) I think my spouse may be unfaithful, but not sure, how can I tell?
A good way to start is by seeing how many signs they are currently showing of infidelity.
5) How do I tell my attorney of your findings in an investigation?
A written report is furnished to each client within 30 days of the conclusion of their investigation providing there isn't an outstanding balance left owed.
6) How much does an investigation cost?
Each investigation is different, therefore, so are the costs. Our rates are based on hourly fees, mileage fees, and expenses
at actual cost. Before any investigation begins, we discuss the rates and what rate we feel is best suited for your
investigation. Our rates are both competitive and reasonable. We work with each client's financial situation as much as possible.
7) Can you guarantee results?
No Private Investigation firm can give you a guarantee that they can give you the results you want or need. They can only guarantee
you that they will conduct the investigation professionally, ethically, objectively and obtain the information in a legal
manner that can be introduced into a court of law should it be needed.
8) Can you help me record phone calls?
North Carolina is a one party state, meaning that one party to the conversation must be aware the conversation is being
recorded otherwise it is illegal and our firm does not record telephone calls or conversations without explicit permission
from one party of the conversation.
9) Can you assist me in getting copies of cell phone bills?
Unless you are the actual account holder the answer is no. They must be obtained through a properly issued subpoena done by
your attorney.
10) Do you travel to other states during an investigation?
YES. It depends on which state they travel to and if North Carolina has a reciprocal agreement in place with that state at the time.
11) Once started can I stop or pause an investigation?
YES, simply contact our office.
12) Will I get to confront the male/female involved if your investigation shows infidelity by my spouse?
NO. This is not recommended at all. Always let your evidence speak loud and clear and through your attorney and the courts.
13) Who all will know that you are conducting an investigation for me?
No one, we do not discuss any investigation being conducted with anyone except the client and the client's attorney when
notified to do so.
14) What if I have questions or concerns during an investigation?
Please convey your questions or concerns so that we can address them as soon as possible.
