Surveillance
Surveillance leads to factual information!
Surveillance is a necessary and vital element for investigative case development.
Our approach to surveillance is aggressive, honest, and discreet. The goal of surveillance and investigation is to discover and document the facts. In other words, the truth.
We begin each case with a well-developed investigative plan. Our licensed private investigators will perform conventional and electronic surveillance using the latest techniques
and state of the art equipment to assure that our investigators will have a high degree of success.
Naturally, there are factors and unpredictable elements in any given surveillance assignment that we cannot control (such as traffic congestion, faulty information, etc.).
We would rather give up the surveillance for a day rather than be discovered. We back this up by only charging our clients for time spent and not for half or the entire day as other agencies do.
Domestic Surveillance
When conducting domestic surveillance, we look for certain things.
In adultry cases we look for TIME, OPPORTUNITY,and INCLINATION, this being
the criteria set by most courts. We look at these one by one:
OPPORTUNITY - This simply means being alone, in a house, hotel/motel room, or parked car in a secluded spot, or even
the office after hours.
TIME - This means having enough time during the opportunity to commit adultry. Most courts accept 15 minutes as being enough time.
INCLINATION - This is any type of public display of affection. Such as hugging, kissing, unusual touching, or anything of a nature that a married person should not be
doing with someone of the opposite sex.
Once these three criteria are shown, the evidence is sufficient to prove adultry. All three can be achieved at the same time in some instances, sometimes it takes multiple surveillance sessions
in order to show all three. Furthermore, many attorneys will want more than one occasion documented.
There are other kinds of domestic surveillance, for example, to find out what your children are doing.
This kind of case would be handled much the same way but for your own information and not as evidence for court. This type of surveillance is completely confidential.
Insurance / Workman's Comp Surveillance
Insurance surveillance is different in that the main evidence needed is video of the subject going about his/her regular daily routine. There is no specific criteria needed, only that when the subject
does something that would invalidate his/her claim, that it be captured on video. For example, someone with a severe back injury claim moving heavy objects freely and without distress.
